New driver? Score 96+, coffee's on us
Drividend scores every drive automatically. Keep a 96+ average and we send you a free Starbucks drink.
Drividend is a free iPhone and Android app that scores every drive automatically, so as a newly licensed driver you build a real driving record from day one and earn small rewards for driving safely.
96+ average = a free Starbucks drink, on us.
Keep your average safety score at 96 or above and your next Starbucks drink is on us.
Newly licensed drivers are at their highest risk, and their highest price, in year one.
Free forever. No subscription, no trial, no card. The rewards are the only thing changing hands.
The reward, step by step
Safe driving usually pays off years later, on a renewal notice you barely read. We made it pay off this month instead.
Install it, allow motion access, and drive the way you normally do. There is nothing to launch before a trip.
Braking, acceleration, speed, and phone handling are scored automatically the moment the drive ends. No buttons to press, no logging.
Your score is an average across your recent trips, so one rough drive does not sink you. Consistency is the whole game.
Hit the bar and we send you a free Starbucks drink. That is the dividend of driving well — the reward arrives long before your renewal does.
Why the score matters
Newly licensed drivers pay the most because insurers have nothing to go on. No record, no history, so they price the worst case and everyone in your age bracket pays it.
Your first year is also when habits set. However you drive now is largely how you'll drive at thirty, which is exactly why it's the best year to be paying attention.
Drividend gives you both at once: a coaching loop that shows you what to fix after every drive, and a record you own that proves you fixed it. The free coffee is just the part you get to enjoy while the record builds.
What you do with that record later is entirely up to you. Sit on it, or use it to make insurers compete for your business.
What a 96 actually takes
Most drivers who miss the bar are losing points to three habits, and all three are easy to change once you can see them.
Hard braking is the single most common score killer. Leaving one more car length of space fixes most of it.
Sudden bursts and hard slowdowns read as risk. Smooth, even speed reads as control.
Handling your phone while the car is moving shows up in your score. Set the music and the map before you shift out of park.
The Drividend rule
Your score and your driving record are yours. They travel with you, and nobody can take them back.
Nothing goes to an insurer unless you decide to use your record to shop for a rate. That is your call alone.
And allow you to share only this with carriers. They should know how well you drive, not where you shop.

About the reward. The 96+ reward is a promotional program: one reward per qualifying month, while supplies last, United States only, and limited to drivers with enough scored trips in the period to produce a meaningful average. Program terms, thresholds, and availability may change, and the current terms in the app govern.
